Laura Gonzalez-Conty, MD

Laura González-Conty, M.D. is a double board-certified adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist. Specializing in maternal and infant mental health. She got her undergraduate degree at the University of Puerto Rico and completed her doctorate in medicine at the Ponce School of Medicine. She completed residency training in General Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center. Furthermore, she completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia and Cornell program), and Infant Psychiatry Fellowship at Weill Cornell, where she also worked as an Instructor in Psychiatry. Dr. González-Conty is certified in Child Parent Psychotherapy and Psychoanalytic Parent-Infant Psychotherapy. She has been an Assistant Professor in psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center where she worked with children and adolescents at the pediatric psychiatry clinic in Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, and treated women with PMADs at Family Peace Trauma Center.
